ABOUT BSIDESICS/OT
BSidesICS/OT was founded by Mike Holcomb, an OT/ICS cybersecurity educator and consultant focused on making complex technical concepts more approachable to a broad audience. Inspired by the origins of the first BSides, Mike saw an opportunity to bring that same model into the ICS/OT world.
Just as the original BSides grew out of and alongside Black Hat, BSidesICS/OT was intentionally created to take place alongside S4.
Since 2025, BSidesICS/OT has taken place each year the day before S4, creating additional space for conversations, perspectives, and community participation within the ICS/OT cybersecurity world.
Over time, what began as a single event has grown internationally, with additional BSidesICS/OT events now taking place around the world.
At its core, BSidesICS/OT is about bringing people together across disciplines and experience levels to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and strengthen the ICS/OT security community.
